We are slow to buy. Every project starts with the address, the street, the proportions of the building. The brief follows the place, never the other way around.

Built to last.

We build with the assumption that we will still be around when something goes wrong twenty years from now. That changes how decisions get made. Cheap fittings, awkward layouts, shortcuts that look fine until winter. These are not problems for the next owner. They are problems for us.

It is a slower way of working, and it costs more. We accept that.

Honest specification.

The standards we set tend to be higher than what the building regulations require, and higher than what other comparable developments in the area are doing. We over-spec the kitchens, the insulation, the storage, the bathroom fittings.

We do not write about it much. The people who notice tend to notice on their own.

Properly managed.

Our developments are managed directly. There is no managing agent between us and the people in our buildings. When something needs doing, the message reaches the people responsible for the building straight away.
